Sonoma County Distilling Increases Whiskey Production

Sonoma County Distilling Company recently expanded its Rohnert Park facility and increased its Northern California whiskey production to accommodate increasing demand.

The expanded facility now houses 5,000 square feet of space, including over 1,000 square feet of barrel storage, which will accommodate increased production.

“In an effort to grow with our expanding customer base and higher demand for our whiskeys, we’ve decided to increase our production space,” says Owner and Distiller Adam Spiegel. “With this added space, we are expecting to increase production by another 200% this year.”

Opened in 2010 and formerly known as 1512 Spirits, the recently rebranded Sonoma County Distilling Company is California’s only whiskey-focused distillery. Spiegel creates the company’s flagship product, Sonoma Rye Whiskey, as well as Second Chance Wheat Whiskey and West of Kentucky Bourbon using small, handmade, traditional copper alembic stills over a direct-fire. Every step of the process is conducted in-house, from grain to glass.

Suggested retail price for all of the Sonoma County Distilling Company’s whiskies range between  $58-$62 and can be found at D&M, The Jug Shop, CASK and Healthy Spirits in San Francisco.
