New Daughtry

November 19, 2013 marks the release of Daughtry’s fourth studio album, Baptized, on TouchTunes. Formed and fronted by American Idol’s fifth season finalist Chris Daughtry, Daughtry’s 2006 self-titled debut album quickly hit #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and produced four top 20 hits including “It’s Not Over” and “Home.” The 4-times platinum record went on to become Billboard’s best-selling album of 2007 and the fastest-selling debut rock album in the history of Soundscan. Four Grammy Award nominations and three American Music Award wins later, Daughtry gears up this week to release Baptized via RCA Records. Preceded in September by the album’s lead single, “Waiting For Superman,” Baptized is said to have a new, pop-leaning sound; Chris Daughtry himself told Mario Lopez in a radio interview that Baptized is “the next chapter in this band. A rebirth.”
