Moonshine Outshines Competition

On March 14th Dark Corner Distillery won yet another Gold Medal and Best in Class award at the inaugural American Craft Distillers Association (ACDA) spirits competition held in Denver, Colorado. Hundreds of micro distilleries ascended upon the Mile-High City for a chance to prove themselves in what is now considered one of the toughest battlefields for craft spirits in America.

“The winners within the ACDA competition have achieved a great distinction for the quality of their products, and can assert with authority that, by jury of their peers, they have merited awards of unqualified excellence,” says Pennfield Jensen, ACDA executive director.

This highly coveted win raises the total medal count for Dark Corner’s champion Moonshine to 17, only after receiving a highly recommended 90 Points at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge and a Gold Medal from the Beverage Testing Institute (BTI) earlier this month.

The American Craft Distillers Association was founded in 2013, and is organized and operated exclusively by licensed craft distillers to promote the common business and regulatory interests of, and to improve the business conditions for craft distilling in the United States.

Founded in 2011, Dark Corner Distillery is a Greenville, SC based micro distillery most famous for producing the World’s Best Moonshine. Defined by heritage, the distillery offers visitors to the store on Greenville’s Main Street a unique experience, including product tastings, distillery tours and distiller training courses.
