Miami Rum Renaissance Festival Is Back For Third Year

Rum connoisseurs will converge once again in South Florida to taste more than a hundred rums froom around the world at the third annual Miami Rum Renaissance Festival held at the Deauville Beach Resort in Miami Beach. The celebration kicks off on April 25th with the launch of the Zombie Jamboree party sponsored by DonQ rum from Puerto Rico, and will culminate with the offical Grand Tasting Event and Island Lifestyle Showcase at the resort from April 30-May 1 2011.

“Rum collectors and spirit enthusiasts anticipate this event each year because they know they can discover and savor all types of rums distilled in the Carribean and beyond. From silver and gold rums to spiced blends and premium aged rums, there is a brand for every palate,” said Robert Burr, noted rum expert, author and Miami Rum Renaissance Festival organizer. “We are thrilled to host our first ever Zombie Jamboree, honoring the infamous zombie cocktail, which kicks off a week of VIP rum parties and special events across South Florida.”

Along with the Zombie Jamboree will be Rum-themed VIP parties from April 26-29 as well as Rum XP International Tasting Competitions. The VIP parties will be held at elite venues with leading rum brand sponsors. VIP passes for all access are available to book online for $250. The International Tasting Competitions will be led by the Members of the International Rum Expert Panel, known as the RumXPs, in a secluded private tasting room to evaluate the more than 100 nominated spirits in a blind tasting. The results will be announced at the end of the festival.

The Grand Tasting Event goes from April 30-May 1 from 2:00-8:00pm, giving guests the chance to explore and discover more than 100 rums from the Caribbean and around the world with tastings and seminars. This event will be hosted n the Richelieu Ballroom at The Deauville Beach Resort.
