According to PRNewswire, Korbel Brandy is looking for delicious and irresistible cold weather cocktails and holiday-themed drink recipes that “turn up the heat.” The Korbel Brandy Cocktail Contest is the ultimate opportunity for mixologists—amateurs and professionals alike—to “pull out all the stops” in original creations that warm the body when the weather gets cold, and be rewarded for their efforts.
The Korbel Brandy Cocktail Contest runs from September 1 through September 30, 2011, and includes three categories: Hot Wintertime Cocktails, Cold Cream-Based Cocktails, and Holiday Punches. Entries should embrace the winter/holiday theme, must feature Korbel Brandy, and must be made with readily available ingredients; beyond these requirements, the sky is the limit. Entries are limited to one per person per category, and will be judged on originality, creativity, taste and appearance, and a winner in each category will be notified on October 25, 2011.
The winners will each receive a Korbel Brandy Bartending Kit or Korbel Brandy Martini Set & Sangria Bowl, plus a $200 cash prize. The winning recipes and their creators will be featured in Korbel Brandy’s “Library of Cocktails” and will be highlighted on the Korbel Brandy Facebook page. Winners will also have bragging rights sure to last well past winter!
The contest is open to individuals who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 21 years old at the time of entry.
