We’re not sure if it’s a genuine effort to do what he can for his fellow home-staters in these tough economic times, or just a way to ensure he has a free unlimited supply of beer at his disposal. But Kid Rock is currently working on an as-yet-unnamed line of craft beer with the Michigan Brewing Co., Webberville, MI.
The Detroit Free Press online is reporting that the Michigan Economic Growth Authority recently approved a state tax credit worth $722,957 to the brewer in order to work with the rocker on the new line, which is anticipating the creation of 394 jobs, 161 of which will be directly related to the company. And according to Bobby Mason, owner-brewer of the Michigan Brewing CO., Kid has been actively involved in all aspects of the process. “He’s working on designing the beer, he’s giving me direction, he’s tasting the beers. It’s his idea, his concept. I’m just working with him to make it happen.”
