According to PR Newswire, Ketel One Vodka is launching their first Ketel One Cup golf tournament. The tournament will take place in seven cities, at some of the country’s most prestigious golf courses, where amateur teams will vie for a chance to play in the national tournament this fall.

To compete for one of the 25 available spots in each regional tournament, consumers will register their team of four on the Ketel One Facebook page (www.facebook.com/KetelOne) and answer some questions. Each team will have to earn votes from their Facebook freinds to ensure their team makes it in the tournament. The final teams with the most votes and the best submission form in each market will be announced on June 10th.

“Golf is a sport with a timeless appeal and unmatched contemporary style,” said Ed Bello, Brand Director of Ketel One Vodka. “The Ketel One Cup is a unique tournament that allows groups of friends to honor camaraderie and have a quality round together.”

In addition to the local tournaments, Ketel One is partnering with the World Golf Tour to host a nationwide virtual tournament. The tournament kicks off on June 1st and will provide the opportunity to play virtually on one of the world’s premiere gold courses. The winner of the tournament will be announced August 5th and awarded a spot to participate in the Ketel One Cup national game.

The national tournament will be held from October 28th-30th at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where 15 foursomes will compete for the championship title. The winning team will receive a golf trip of their choice, including four days, three nights and three rounds of gold at one of the following destinations-Bandon, Oregon, Kohler, Wisconsin, Pebble Beach, California, or Pinehurst, North Carolina.
