Jack Daniel’s Supports Troops With Card Campaign

According to PRNewswire, Jack Daniel’s is asking citizens to take a few moments to support the troops by signing a message of support through the Toast to the Troops Card Campaign as they prepare for July 4th.

By visiting www.JDToastTheTroops.com, supporters can sign a “toast”—a message of support for our servicemen and women. The distillery will collect the cards and include them in care packages sent to the troops as a part of the Jack Daniel’s/USO Toast to the Troops “stuffing parties” held at military installations across the country. Since the program began in 2005, more than 150,000 care packages have been sent to military members serving overseas.

“We hope our friends will take a few moments to let our troops know how much we support them by signing a toast card,” said Jennifer Powell, Senior Brand Manager for Jack Daniel’s. “Our military members and their families are so worthy of our support, and the Toast to the Troops campaign is one way we can let them know how appreciative and thankful we are of their sacrifices on our behalf.”

“We thank Jack Daniel’s for their continued support of the USO and Operation USO Care Package,” said Kelli Seely, Senior Vice President of Development for the USO. “A message of support is one of the best ways to let our troops know America is thinking of them. We hope that citizens and fans of Jack Daniel’s will take advantage of this opportunity to let our service members know how much they care.”

Individuals can no longer send letters and packages addressed to “any service member” because of heightened security. The Operation USO Care Package program is the best way to send a message of encouragement directly to troops and provide a touch of home. More than two million care packages have been distributed since its inception in 2003. More information about the care package program can be found at www.uso.org.
