International Beverage Promotes Pat Graney to President of U.S. Operations

International Beverage (InterBev), a wholly owned subsidiary of the publicly traded leading alcohol beverage producer Thai Bev, recently announced the promotion of Pat Graney to President of its U.S. operations InterBev USA based in New York City. Mr. Graney was General Manager of InterBev USA, a position he assumed in October 2009, after serving three years as the company’s Western Zone Vice President of Sales.pat-graney-interbev-usa.jpg

Matthew Kichodhan, CEO of InterBev, said the U.S. is a vital market for InterBev’s portfolio of beer and spirits products and Mr. Graney’s leadership has led to great strides in growing distribution and sales.

“Since taking the reins of our U.S. operations less than ten months ago, Pat has led his team to achieving many of our goals, which included taking over U.S. importing/distribution of our Inver House portfolio of four award-winning single malts – Speyburn, Old Pulteney, Balblair and AnCnoc, and our blended whisky Hankey Bannister, “ said Mr. Kichodhan. “Pat’s promotion to President is well earned and we are fortunate to have him at the helm of what we believe is our largest growth market opportunity internationally as we move forward.”

Prior to joining InterBev USA in 2006, Mr. Graney was General Manager for Bacchus Energy Beverage Company, where he established and managed the company’s operations in the U.S. Mr. Graney served as VP and Western Division Manager for Beck’s North America, a subsidiary of the global brewer (Anheuser-Busch InBev), where he reversed a trend of declining sales. Earlier, Mr. Graney held senior management roles with several global beverage producers including Canada’s Labatt, Mexico’s FEMSA, Heublein and Seagram.

“I truly appreciate this continued vote of confidence in my abilities to lead the U.S. operations and I believe my promotion to President also speaks volumes about the hardworking and talented team that I have working with me” said Mr. Graney. “InterBev is a terrific organization and our portfolio of Chang Beer, Mekhong and a stellar lineup of single malt whiskies will enable Interbev USA to achieve the level of success expected from our parent company ThaiBev.”
