In Touch with 2013

TouchTunes, the largest in-venue interactive entertainment network in North America, today released its annual Year End Music Charts reporting on the top played songs and artists of 2013.  Based on songs played across its network of over 60,000 jukeboxes and mobile app, TouchTunes’ Year End review provides unique insight into the music choices of bar-goers nationwide.

From coast to coast, Country music dominated TouchTunes’ Top 10 Songs Chart in 2013 though Rock was the most played genre overall. Little Big Town’s “Pontoon” was the #1 most played song, followed by Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” and Luke Bryan’s “Country Girl (Shake It For Me).” Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell)” was the only Pop song to make it into the Top 10.

Upon receiving the news of “Pontoon’s” success on TouchTunes, Little Big Town’s Phillip Sweet said, “We are so grateful that the fans continue to embrace this song in ways we could have never imagined. It’s so great to know that people are having as much fun with this song as we had making it.”

TouchTunes users also returned to the classics in 2013. Jukebox rock favorite AC/DC was the most played artist overall. Kid Rock and Johnny Cash were also among the Top 10 Artists played.
