Hornitos Tequila’s 2010 “Cougar” commercial, which has been airing on television stations nationwide, has become one of the most talked-about advertisements of the year. As a result of its popularity, it will on appear on TBS’ “Funniest Commercials of the Year,” which highlights funny advertisements from around the world.
The commercial begins with a guy bragging to his friend about how he is about to call a hot “cougar” whom he met the night before, while drinking a bottle of Hornitos Tequila to start the night. As he dials his cougar from last night, a phone begins to ring. The friend, with the bottle of Hornitos in hand, yells “mom…phone.”
