Hiro Sake Heads West

Hiro SakeĀ®, the hand-crafted, premium spirit from Japan, announces the official launch for Hiro Junmai Sake and Hiro Junmai Ginjo Sake in Arizona, effective this month. Hiro, a brand that is positioned to be the first premium Japanese sake to be recognized and ordered, easily, by name, will be rolled out to hotels, restaurants, bars and liquor stores via Alliance Beverage Distributing Company, the largest alcoholic beverage distributor in the state of Arizona.

Carlos Arana, Hiro Co-Founder and CEO says the company is experiencing triple digit growth since last year and that Arizona is just the beginning of its westward expansion. ā€œWe are moving west and excited about our distribution relationship with Alliance Beverage,ā€ says Arana. ā€œOur plans for the next 12 months will see us opening Illinois, Texas, Nevada and California. Hiro has performed even better than we expected as distributors and consumers alike see the versatility of Hiro as a great low calorie, low alcohol but flavorful beverage. Our goal is to become the category leader for imported Japanese sake.ā€

Hiro introduced a 330ml bottle size late last year and this October debuts gift boxes for both the 720ml and 330ml bottles in time for the holiday season.

Hiro offers both a Junmai (Hiro Red) sake and a Junmai Ginjo (Hiro Blue) sake which is produced with rice that is ā€˜polishedā€™ or milled to remove at least 45% of its original weight and has the added character and body. Both may be served chilled, on the rocks or in a cocktail with Hiro Red the preferred choice for those wanting to enjoy a hot sake. Hiro Sake (15% ABV) is available in both 720ml and 300ml bottles. Hiro Red suggested retail price is $29.99/$15.99. Hiro Blue suggested retail price is $39.99/$19.99.
