Graffigna™, one of the world’s fastest-growing Argentine wine brands, has launched its latest creation: Graffigna Centenario Elevation Red Blend – a wine created from premium grapes from some of the highest peaks in Argentina.

The latest addition to the Graffigna portfolio, Graffigna Centenario Elevation Red Blend combines five grapes for a wine of incredible depth and complexity. The elegance of Malbec is expertly blended with the ripe red and blackberry flavors of Bonarda, the spicy notes of Syrah, the intensity of Cabernet Sauvignon and the structure of Tannat.

In 1870, founder Santiago Graffigna planted vines in the shadow of the mighty Andes, with an understanding that altitude would enhance the quality of local red varietals. Graffigna Centenario Elevation Red Blend pays tribute to his vision, and delivers a powerful, exceptional wine – with high altitudes contributing to its intense color, deep fruit flavors and food-friendly freshness.

Alejandra Presa, Graffigna Marketing Director, said: “Graffigna is proud to be leading the way in modern Argentine winemaking. This new premium red wine is both a tribute to our pioneering founder, and a showcase of the elevated quality that can be achieved at altitude.”

Deep purple in color with prominent red hues, Graffigna Centenario Elevation Red Blend is a full-bodied wine with rich blackberry flavors underpinned by spice, vanilla and dark chocolate notes. It pairs perfectly with grilled red meat, game and stews.

Founded in 1870 by Italian immigrant Don Santiago Graffigna, today Graffigna is an icon of the Argentine winemaking tradition, defined by the pioneering, passionate spirit of its founder. Graffigna’s vineyards in the Tulum and Pedernal Valleys are in a climate as dry as the Sahara desert, with more than 300 days of annual sunshine and great thermal amplitude between day and night. These conditions create wines which are full-bodied, elegant and aromatic. The fruit is crafted into three ranges; Graffigna Centenario, Graffigna Grand Reserve and Santiago Graffigna. In 2009 Graffigna was named “Winery of the Year” by the Critics Challenge in the United States.
