Dates Announced for San Francisco Cocktail Week

The Fifth Annual San Francisco Cocktail Week has officially announced its dates for their 2011 show. The weeklong celebration will take place September 19-25, 2011, and will be held in venues, bars, and restaurants throughout the Bay Area. The San Francisco Cocktail Week is the World’s First Cocktail Week, and is presented by the Barbary Coast Conservancy of the American Cocktail.

The Fifth Annual San Francisco Cocktail Week will be filled with cocktail parties, spirit, bar and cocktail classes, neighborhood cocktail crawls, culinary events, festive galas and more. Those interested in the latest updates can visit www.sfcocktailweek.com.

The BCCAC is a non-profit organization co-founded by cocktail entrepreneurs H. Joseph Ehrmann (Elixir), Jeff Hollinger (Comstock Saloon, The Boxing Room and Absinthe) and Duggan McDonnell (Cantina). It is dedicated to preserving the cocktail heritage of saloons and their cocktails in San Francisco, while also celebrating California’s culinary philosophy and traditions with special events, publications and educational seminars throughout the year.

The BCCAC’s headquarters are at the Boothby Center for the Beverage Arts, which is celebrating its first anniversary this fall in San Francisco’s SOMA distrct. The founders of the BCCAC also founded the San Francisco Cocktail Week, the World’s First Cocktail Week, to “celebrate the dynamic beverage culture of our community and enjoy the best of history with the promise of the future; shaken or stirred; up or over; and always in a chilled cocktail glass.”

Co-producers of the event founded by the BCCAC include Kevin Diedrich (Burritt Room), Aaron Gregory Smith (15 Romolo), and Scott Baird and Josh Harris (the Bon Vivants), as well as WDFA Marketing, Dominic Phillips Event Marketing and Ellipses Public Relations.
