Crown Imports’ Jim Ryan Named NABI Chairman
Jim Ryan has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Beverage 
Importers (NABI), a national alcohol beverage trade association headquartered in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1933, NABI is the oldest trade association in the US, serving the alcohol beverage industry.
Jim was previously head of NABI’s executive committee from March 2007 through March 2009. Jim is the executive vice president of Corporate Communications for Chicago-based Crown Imports LLC. He joined Barton Beers, Ltd., the predecessor of Crown Imports, in June of 1988, as Director of Administration.
Jim’s career in the beer industry began in the late 1970’s with Anheuser-Busch, Inc. He also worked for the Pabst Brewing Company and G. Heileman Brewing Company in senior-level field sales management positions. In his position as Chairman, Jim will be responsible for overseeing that NABI’s mission is carried out and members’ interests are protected and addressed relative to regulatory and policy matters.
