Cleveland’s one and only award winning spirit, Crāv Vodka, is now on the shelves at state liquor stores throughout Northeast Ohio—nearly 100 locations including those located within Giant Eagle stores. The brand launched last month to the Cleveland and Columbus markets, and was previously on special order status through the State of Ohio’s bailment system.

Customers were required to place early orders for the 80-proof spirit, and continued to do so through June. Says Crāv Founder Thomas M. Rini, “a large volume of calls from customers in Cleveland and Columbus helped lead to the status change.” The announcement comes just one month after launching June 1 in Cleveland and Columbus; in both markets already more than 100 restaurants, nightclubs and bars are serving the spirit.

Having definitive shelf space will help push sales in Northeast and Central Ohio said Rini. He and his team will then look at expanding distribution to surrounding states. “We have big plans on a national level, but we’re not moving forward until we have solid distribution throughout all of Ohio,” he said.

Crāv Vodka will sit alongside Grey Goose and Ketel One as a top shelf premium spirit, retailing for $31.70-$33.15 for a 1-Liter bottle.

Rini will introduce Crāv Vodka to Dayton, Cincinnati and Toledo later this year. In 2012, the Crāv portfolio will welcome a new flavor, Crāv Exotic, which will be lychee flavored. Visit http://www.cravspirits.com for more information.
