According to Drink Business Review, Chopin Vodka, a polish distillery located in Podlasie, will be launching Chopin Rye on the shelves of select retailers in the United States starting in March 2011. Chopin Vodka is imported in the U.S. by Chopin Imprts based in New York.

The Polish distiller noted that Chopin Rye is produced from the finest golden rye naturally grown in eastern Poland. It relies on a traditional copper still and a centuries-old process, distilling its vodka four times.

Chopin Vodka owner Tad Dorda said the choice of base ingredient, whether potato or rye or another grain, the age and quality of that ingredient, and the region in which it is grown, all produce differences in taste and quality of the final product.
