According to Drink Business Review, Camarena, a Mexican Tequila producer, has entered into a partnership with the Atlanta Braves baseball team. The deal makes it the first 100% agave tequila to partner with the century-old baseball club.

Camarena director of marketing Gerard Thoukis said the company’s partnership with the Atlanta Braves is a thrilling way to kick off its official launch in Georgia this month. Camarena will be expanding distribution throughout the country in the upcoming year.

“Known for their loyal fans and progressive, in-stadium technology and entertainment, the Atlanta Braves are a world-class organization whose partnership opportunities align with out key target consumers and localized marketing approach,” said Thoukis.

Atlanta Braves senior director of corporate sponsorships Jim Allen said the beginning of a new season is the perfect time to implement new and innovative improvements to the club fans’ ballpark experience.

“Partnering with new and exciting brands like Familia Camarena Tequila, whose insistence on quality and a positive consumer experience reigns paramount, highlights our continual commitment to providing fans with a memorable and fun time at Turner Field,” Allen said.
