What can you do with a bottle cap? If you’re the beer-centric online retailer KegWorks.com, you might just build a wall. A big one.
Last August, the company used their blog to alert their customers and fans of an idea that they had, and ask for their help. Their newly renovated office space included 459 square feet of empty wall and they wanted to cover it entirely in bottle caps. The only problem was, they’d estimated they’d need about 60,000 caps to make it happen.
Their readers (and a few breweries) rose to the occasion and the caps started to pour in. Within a couple of months, the wall was covered in magnetic sheeting and the caps started to make their way onto the wall (after they’d been cleaned, of course.)
