BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Gin crowned BLVD. Cocktail Company’s Mixologist Juyoung Kang as “Las Vegas’ Most Imaginative Bartender” at the spirit’s annual competition, presented by GQ Magazine and The United States Bartenders’ Guild, on Monday, Aug. 4.
Kang competed against eleven of the most creative bartenders, ten from Nevada and one from New Mexico, at the competition, which was held at LAVO Restaurant and Lounge, located at the Palazzo-Resort-Hotel-Casino. Judges included BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Gin brand ambassador and master mixologist, Gary Hayward; United States Bartenders’ Guild Las Vegas Treasurer Nathan Greene; award-winning nightlife and beverage writer, Xania Woodman; owner of Herbs & Rye, Nectaly Mendoza; and last year’s winner, Roger Gillespie.
Kang will represent Nevada in the National BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Most Imaginative Bartender Competition in September. She will present her cocktail The Lacy Fizz, a twist on the classic Gin Fizz.
BLVD. Cocktail Company, the design-centric 2,700-square-foot lounge and patio located at The LINQ, is open nightly from 5 p.m. to close. BLVD. offers hand-crafted libations by Mixologist Juyoung Kang, live music nightly from their sleek baby grand piano and breathtaking views of The High Roller. The mixology piano bar is owned by in partnership by Ryan Doherty, Justin Weniger and Kenna Warner, owners of Commonwealth and Park on Fremont, with Caesars Entertainment.
