According to PRNewswire, Oregon-based Distilling Head is pleased to introduce Bengerminz, an ultra-premium vodka and Gold Medal Winner in Taste at the 2011 MicroLiquor Spirits Awards. Distilled six times and through a six-stage filtration process, Bengerminz is made from 100% all-American grain and artesian water. Bengerminz is mellow with a subtle hint of sweetness, making it perfect by itself or equally impressive in cocktails and martinis.

Distilling Head started in January 2011 by owners Olivier Beaulieu-Grise and Rachelle Flores. With over 20 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry, the husband-and-wife team started their production in a 1,600 sq ft. facility. By March 2012, Distilling Head will be expanding into a new 5,000 sq ft. state-of-the-art facility with eight new hires having joined the team over the past three months.

Adding to their growing portfolio, Distilling Head will be launching a new line of rums including a Silver, Brown Spiced, Platinum and High-Proof rum. “The support of our local community and distributors have greatly contributed to our growth and success. We are now looking to create another ten jobs in Oregon this year and more than thirty within the United States,” said co-owner, Rachelle Flores.

Distilling Head beverage brands are distributed locally in over 200 Oregon liquor stores, as well as nationally in over 21 states including California, Florida and Texas. They are currently working to open in the Australian, New Zealand, Japanese and Canadian markets in July 2012.
