According to Thrillist.com, drinkers now have the opportunity to become “Seatholders” in the new prohibition-style speakeasy, with Dale DeGroff at the helm of the cocktail program, and Daniel Patterson behind the grill.

The bar doesn’t open until Spring 2012, but anybody who donates up to $500 an become one of these “seatholders,” which, in exchange for helping to wrap up the project, entitles you to benefits including 25% off your bills for life, the exclusive ability to make a reservation, invitations to off-site private parties, and, most importantly, a “pride of place.”

The menu is still in its development stages, but it is projected to include dishes such as beef tongue with sweet onions, pig ear frisee with blood orange and fennel, and duck stew, along with comfort food like pork pate with confit shallots, Gruyere grilled cheese, and a Rum Baba Twinkie.

The cocktail menu is heavy on the classics, such as martinis, sidecars, Old Pals, etc. that bely an “understand of what makes a drink a classic and the details that make it your favorite.”
