Barley’s Angels: A Group For The Ladies

On January 23rd, the first U.S. chapter of Barley’s Angels will launch with an educational tasting at Rogue Ales Public House hosted by Megan Flynn, Publisher and Editor of Beer West Magazine. The group was created to educate and encourage women to develop their interest in craft beer.

Founded by Teri Fahrendorf in 1989, Barley’s Angels accepts all women who have an interesting creating a female beer enthusiast community, as well as a desire for education.

The event marks the first official opening of a Barley’s Angels chapter. A panel of beer-conscious women will lead a general discussion on how to taste beer, from the initial pour to the amount of head, aroma, and taste. The tasting will consist of six Rogue Ales: XS McRogue Scotch Ale, XS Old Crustacean, Shakespeare Stout, Chocolate Stout, Mocha Porter and Santa’s Private Reserve.
