Amarula Cream, The Spirit of Africa and the Wildlife Conservation Society (“WCS”), have joined hands to help save the African Elephant. Last year was the worst year for elephant poaching since the ivory trade was banned in 1979. Compounding the situation, major budget cuts have been proposed in the US Congress to the Multinational Species Conservation Funds just when money is so desperately needed. In response to this crisis, Amarula Cream will donate $1.00 to the WCS for every specially marked bottle sold between November 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.

Amarula Cream is thrilled to team up with WCS, a global leader in conservation, to help with their efforts to save the African Elephant during this critical time. Both Amarula Cream & the WCS realize that we need to act now. By joining together for this campaign they are not only making a serious impact on these animals’ lives but also directly connecting consumer to the cause in hopes of further spreading awareness about the challenges facing these amazing animals.

Amarula Cream is a luxurious, indulgent cream liqueur that captures the essence of Africa’s mystique and allows you to discover the majestic wonders of untamed Africa. The key ingredient in Amarula Cream is the coveted Marula fruit, found only in the wide open plains of Africa. It is from this magnificent fruit, loved by elephants and humans alike, that our delicate, exotic flavor is born. Amarula Cream is enjoyed in over 100 countries, and is the second most popular cream liqueur in the world.

The Wildlife Conservation society saves wildlife and wild places worldwide. We do so through science, global conservation, education and the management of the world’s largest system of urban wildlife parks, led by the flagship Bronx Zoo. Together these activities change attitudes toward nature and help people imagine wildlife and humans living in harmony. WCS is committed to this mission because it is essential to the integrity of life on Earth.
