The organizers of the San Diego Spirits Festival, held in the historic Gaslamp Quarter in Downtown San Diego, have created a series of competitions that will challenge the talent of the local mixologists for fun, and for charity. Partnered with Hard Rock Café San Diego, the Spirited Battle of the Bartenders will benefit WhyHunger, a nonprofit organization that strives to fight against hunger and poverty in America and around the world.

The Spirited Bartender Battle will provide guests the opportunity to cheer on Gaslamp Mixologists, as well as sample original cocktails and enjoy drink specials all night long. Gaslamp Mixologists from Hard Rock Café, McCormick & Schmicks, US Grant, Vin De Syrah, The Se, The Palm, Stingaree, and more will be participating.

The judges of the competition include Nadav Wilif: Discover SD, Barbarella: Diary of a Diva-The Reader, Aaryn Belfer: Backwards in High Heels-City Beat, and Liz Edwards: Founder of the San Diego Spirits Festival.

The kick-off event will take place on Monday, December 13th from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Hard Rock Café, and admission is $5.
