A New Whiskey By Jack Daniel’s

According to Cocktail Enthusiast, Jack Daniel’s is set to release its first new product in nearly a generation. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey is the original Jack Daniel’s but combined with a measure of honey liqueur. It will likely compete with products already on the market, like Wild Turkey’s American Honey.

It’s aroma is sweet but the whiskey still comes through. However, take a sip and notice that the whiskey is muted by the honey. It is a far cry from Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7, but still a pleasant flavor overall.

As far as mixing, the flavor profile makes it a good addition to lemonade, ginger ale, or iced tea. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey will hit store shelves in April 2011 and be available in all U.S. states. It is 35% alcohol by volume and will sell for $22.
