A New Generation of Special Events Gurus: Pogash, Littrell and Wolin

cocktail_guru_team.jpgThe Cocktail Guru, a full-service beverage consulting firm created in 2006 by Mixologist Jonathan Pogash, is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its events services team: Jason Littrell and Hal Wolin.

“Both Hal and Jason are known throughout the New York City cocktail community and are highly respected by their peers,” says Jonathan Pogash, President of The Cocktail Guru. “Their enthusiasm and passion for all things spirited make them ideal additions to the team.”

“There’s a huge market for special events cocktail catering and signature cocktail development,” Pogash adds, “and we intend to provide these services for weddings, businesses, social events, and special ‘mixology experiences’. There are approximately 6,200 weddings every day in the U.S. Although we can’t provide our services to all of them, we hope to supply well-crafted cocktails and experienced bar service to as many as we can.”

Jason Littrell comes to The Cocktail Guru team with years of bartending experience including such places as The Randolph on Broome, Louis 649 and as of recent months has become the newest member of the East Village cocktail haven, Death & Co. He is known for the well-balanced cocktails he creates that span the decades from Prohibition-era style drinks to molecular gastronomy.

Hal Wolin has been working in the spirits world for the past year and a half. A writer and artist of all things cocktails, Hal has participated in several beverage-related contests and began to work the event scene. In addition, his recipes have been published in Trade Magazines and have been featured in product brochures.

The Cocktail Guru has contributed to online and print wedding publications such as The Knot, Brides Magazine, Our Weddings Plus, and Boston Bean Bride.
