Tales of the Cocktail Foundation Opens Seminar Submissions for Tales 2020

2019 Dame Hall of FameTales of the Cocktail Foundation is pleased to announce the seminar submission window
for Tales of the Cocktail® 2020 is now open.

Tales of the Cocktail® 2020 will be held July 21-26 in New Orleans. Last year’s Tales of the Cocktail® featured a record number of 76 individual education seminars, with more seminars on pressing issues from diversity to inclusion than ever before.

The Foundation seeks seminar proposals that are thought-provoking, impactful and align with the Foundations’ tenets to educate, advance, and support the global hospitality industry. The seminar submission period extends through Saturday, November 2.

“We were blown away by last year’s pool of submissions and ultimately presented seminars
that provided invaluable education, sparked meaningful dialogue, and fostered growth during Tales of the Cocktail®,” shared Caroline Rosen, President of Tales of the Cocktail Foundation. “We were thrilled to see more and more seminar submissions come through that focused on important and often neglected topics in our community — from inclusion, to harassment, sustainability and addiction last year and are eager to increase programming that touches on these issues for 2020.”

Last year also marked the first year that Tales of the Cocktail Foundation introduced dedicated Education Committees, sub-divided into three streams of education: Business, Culture and Beyond the Bar. Full information on the Education Committees and members can be found here.

“The seminar selection for Tales of the Cocktail® 2019 was truly a collaborative process with all committee members working together to curate a cohesive and engaging curriculum,” shared Lynn House, Beyond the Bar Advisory Committee Chair. “We are beyond thrilled that the seminar submissions continue to deal with a wide variety of issues that affect our community and look forward to continuing this work to help our industry evolve for the better.”
