TGI Fridays™ Kicks Off Cinco de Mayo with Casamigos Tequila

Today, TGI Fridays announced a national partnership with ultra-premium Casamigos Tequila, an award-winning, small batch tequila created and owned by actor George Clooney, Rande Gerber, founder of Gerber Spirits, and Discovery Land Company CEO & Founder Mike Meldman. Casamigos will now be available in participating U.S. FridaysTM restaurants and featured in two new drinks this spring and summer, including the Ultimate Casamigos Strawberry Margarita, which launches on Cinco de Mayo.
 
The tequila and signature drinks are the centerpieces of the brands’ Cinco de Mayo promotion, which also includes the launch of six new wing flavors, including Ghost Pepper, and two new appetizers, Bacon-wrapped Stuffed Jalapeños and JackTM Sliders.
 
Casamigos, which loosely translates to “house of friends,” was created by Clooney, Gerber and Meldman as a limited batch tequila for their personal consumption, prior to the trio producing and releasing it nationally. Fridays is the newest – and largest – restaurant and bar brand to feature Casamigos, the fastest growing tequila in the country.
