BUDWEISER KICKS OFF SUMMER WITH THE MONUMENT SERIES

On Sunday June 21, Budweiser took over the New York City harbor in triumphant style to kick off its first ever Monument Series. Budweiser brought fans free epic music experiences with burgers and beers on Liberty Island and Governor’s Island.

On Liberty Island, R&B queen Mary J. Blige (pictured below) broke it down and treated a hyped crowd to a career-spanning set with killer dance moves, powerhouse vocals, and had the concertgoers enthusiastically singing along to her “No More Drama” performance.

Meanwhile at Governors Island, Misterwives and Big Gigantic set the vibes for an intimate and monumental music experience with breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan. Shortly after their sets, a few lucky guests won a last minute drawing to take a private ferry to Liberty Island for the Mary J. Blige show. T-Pain brought the house down with his throwback set of hits which had the devoted crowd dancing and singing along to every lyric of “Buy U A Drank” with their Budweisers raised high. Guests were also able to experience a first of its kind 4D hologram of Mary J. Blige’s riveting performance projected over the Hudson River. From start to finish, the crowds could not stop dancing.

The night did not end there. As guests rode across the Hudson after the concert, they were surprised with a spectacular fireworks show over Lady Liberty with epic visuals.
