This year’s Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America [WSWA] 73rd Annual Convention was another breakout event for Global Spirits, the makers of numerous vodka brands including LEAF Organic, Khortytsa and Pervak, with several major awards.
At this year’s event, LEAF Vodka made from Alaskan Glacial Water received a Double Gold medal, topping last year’s Gold. It’s companion, LEAF Vodka made from Rocky Mountain Mineral Water received its first Gold medal.
The Khortytsa Vodka line, including Platinum, Ice and De Luxe all received Silver Medals, as did Pervak Rye Vodka.
Each product had to receive a unanimous individual ranking by the spirits panel in a blind judging competition for this recognition. Judges were hand selected by The Tasting Panel Magazine.
“Since our initial introduction and medals at last year’s convention, we have significantly expanded our US footprint, as well as our internal and distributor sales teams,” states Steve Ackerman, national sales director for Global Spirits USA. “These awards further reinforce the fact that our success is a direct result of our strong portfolio of high-quality vodkas.”
The company continues to expand its distribution footprint in response to growing interest at the wholesale and retail levels. “We have no doubt that we will continue to build on our success in 2016 as both the trade and consumers develop a greater awareness of our brands and their unique qualities,” noted Ackerman.
