NARRAGANSETT BEER SAYS “HI NEIGHBOR!” TO NEW REGIONS

Iconic New England brewer Narragansett Beer is bringing a taste of Rhode Island to Maryland, Delaware, and Pittsburgh, Erie, and Reading Pennsylvania. Rolling out this month, Narragansett will now offer its award-winning Lager as well their limited-edition Sessionables, Mash-up and Lovecraft beers at on- and off-premise retail locations across these key Mid-Atlantic markets.

After experiencing success in New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., Narragansett was drawn to these four markets as a natural extension of its Mid-Atlantic footprint in response to meeting the increasing demand from local fans. This expansion comes on the heels of the brand’s recent hiring of industry sales veteran Vinny Prattico, who in his role as Narragansett’s Vice President of Sales and Business Development oversees the brand’s East Coast growth. Narragansett is partnering with Legends Distributing in Md., NKS Distributing in Del., Frank B. Fuhrer in Pittsburgh, Glenwood Beer in Erie and All-Star Distributing in Reading.

“Growing ‘Gansett’s footprint into Maryland, Delaware and further into Pennsylvania is an exciting step for the brewery, allowing us to share our heritage beer with even more consumers as we celebrate our 125th year,” said Mark Hellendrung, President of Narragansett Beer. “Vinny’s valuable industry relationships played an integral role in securing distribution in these markets. We’re glad to have him on board and look forward to providing beer drinkers around the country with more opportunities to drink ‘Gansett as we continue to grow.”

Named one of the top 50 craft breweries in 2014 by the Brewers Association, Narragansett Beer offers a collection of premium beers crafted with Rhode Island pride and heritage. Narragansett’s core Lager is supported by Light Lager, seasonal releases, limited edition mash-ups with beloved regional brands, such as Del’s Lemonade and Autocrat Coffee, and imperial crafts. In addition to Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania,  Narragansett is distributed in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and Oregon.
