Razzoo’s in Lewisville, TX, Gets Extensive Remodel
Addison, Texas-based Razzoo’s, Inc. marked the 15-year anniversary of its Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe in Lewisville by launching an extensive exterior and interior renovation, a totally self-funded remodel completion. Now open, the completed remodel includes a full exterior and landscape upgrade, repositioning of the bar area and main entrance, reconfiguring and remodeling the dining area and the construction of a new multi-level patio and open-air bar. Razzoo’s, Inc. is a locally owned, independent casual dining restaurant company founded in 1991. Razzoo’s owns and operates 13 Razzoo’s Cajun Cafes in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Round Rock, Houston , and Concord, North Carolina.
The highlight of the remodel was the expansion of the patio and open-air bar, which now has seating for more than 70. The new 2,200 square foot, multi-level patio features semi-covered dining with access to the indoor/outdoor bar area. The indoor/outdoor bar features garage door-style windows along the bar. Diners are cooled by new fanned misting systems and can enjoy the water feature views in a relaxing setting. The expanded patio is partly covered at the bar area with additional umbrella-covered tables overlooking a small lake with fountain. There is live music on the patio every Thursday night.
The entire restaurant was reconfigured to improve outdoor dining and comfort while upgrading and expanding the inside dining areas with all new furnishings.
The re-configured restaurant is approximately 7,700 square feet in size, increasing seating capacity by nearly 30 percent. Dallas-based design firm Zero 3 delivered project design while Lewisville -based commercial construction company Strong Group Inc. managed the construction.
The restaurant has a new partially enclosed seating area that can be reserved for private parties of events.
The restaurant’s décor theme remains unchanged and consistent with the Razzoo’s brand. Authentic images and items of Zydeco music, Cajun-Country food, Mardi Gras celebration and other aspects of Southern Louisiana outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing are displayed throughout the space. Razzoo’s signature design elements such as uniquely colored bottle wall accents, Tornado Chandelier and expansive mural paintings brighten the restaurant. “We proudly re-invested in this restaurant to upgrade our external appearance and appeal, and to reward our loyal guests with improved open-air seating and an upgraded bar area,” said Razzoo’s, Inc. President Jeff Powell. “We’re so pleased with the new patio. We’ve had diners from surrounding areas such as Coppell, Flower Mound, Highland Village and Hebron tell us that there is no other restaurant within 20 – 30 miles that has outdoor patio dining with this type of view and quality.
“This restaurant reflects our passion for this business and for Lewisville and the surrounding area. We continue to provide the best experience and value for casual dining around with a much improved bar offering and setting.” Powell said.
To celebrate the newly remodeled restaurant, Razzoo’s launched a new
offering of craft beers, with all-day, every-day Happy Hour specials and
live music on the patio every Thursday evening through September.
A wide variety of new craft beers are being offered both on tap and
in bottles with an emphasis on regional brewers from Texas and Louisiana
. Austin’s Real Ale Brewing Company, Fort Worth ’s Rahr & Sons and
St. Arnold’s from Houston are some of the Texas brewers highlighted on
the beer menu. Guests are invited to sample the drafts and to mix and
match five-bottle buckets.
