Grey Goose Unveils Regionally-Inspired Punch Recipes; Sourcing Local, Fresh Ingredients
GREY GOOSE® Vodka announced today its new summer consumer engagement program – GREY GOOSE Punch. At the forefront of the hottest seasonal cocktail trend, the super-premium category leader has curated a series of regionally-inspired punch recipes utilizing the full portfolio of GREY GOOSE Vodka and Flavored Vodkas combined with only the freshest, locally sourced, farm-to-table ingredients. The Boston Tea Punch, Lakeshore Punch, Hollywood Punch, Hamptons Punch, and South Beach Punch recipes showcase the quality of GREY GOOSE and elevate casual summer entertaining to a new level.
Expertly crafted with the finest French winter wheat from sustainable farms in Picardy (known as the “bread basket” of France) and blended with pure spring water from Gensac Springs located in the Cognac region of France, GREY GOOSE is known for its unmatched quality. The program kicked off with GREY GOOSE Punch Brunch, a chic French culinary experience hosted by New York City socialites, Daniel and David Koch, at the grand opening of their new hotspot in the Meatpacking District of New York. At the event, guests and local influencers experienced bespoke GREY GOOSE Punch cocktails and were immersed in the sophistication of the GREY GOOSE summer lifestyle. To enable consumers to recreate this occasion at home, GREY GOOSE has produced a series: “How to Make GREY GOOSE PUNCH,” available on GreyGoose.com/PUNCH. Continuing through the summer with nationwide events and five short films featuring local chefs, influencers and celebrities, GREY GOOSE will be showcasing the fresh, locally sourced ingredients used in Punch, the inspiration behind the signature recipes and the spirit of each regional location.
In addition, US Bartenders’ Guild of America (USBGA) will launch a mixology competition sponsored by GREY GOOSE and Saveur Magazine called: Punch Wars Summer Games. USBGA’s events have been designed to creatively engage local bartenders by enabling them to showcase their craft and knowledge of mixology. Leading bartenders from eight different cities will go head-to-head in creating the ultimate vodka Punch using a bevy of locally sourced fruits, spices, garnishes, and herbs. A panel of local food personalities along with a guest celebrity chef will determine who will win the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. The Gold medal winner of each city will advance to the Punch Wars finals to be held in Miami, with the winner receiving national acclaim as Mixology Advisor for Saveur.com and an all-expense paid, specially curated trip to Tales of the Cocktail 2013, courtesy of Tales of the Cocktail, which supports the bartender community through scholarships and education programs.
