Royal Dutch Distillers will be distributing the ultra-premium, craft Tromba Tequila across the United States starting March 1, 2018. The Miami-based subsidiary of De Kuyper Royal Distillers – well known for the world’s largest brand of premium cocktail liqueurs – will act as the exclusive sales and marketing force of Tromba. By bringing Tromba to bartenders and consumers across the US, De Kuyper and Royal Dutch Distillers take the next step in following the global company strategy and vision to “Own the Cocktail.” Furthermore, it gives Royal Dutch Distillers a strong and well-developing product in the fast-growing world of premium Tequila. Tromba’s Master Distiller is Marco Cedano – who was the master distiller behind such brands as Reserva de Los Gonzalez and Don Julio. Marco and his son Rodrigo are directly involved in every single step of Tromba’s production process.
“We are very proud that Eric Brass and his team confide in us to make Tromba Tequila a big success with bartenders and retailers in the US,” says Mark de Witte, Global CEO of De Kuyper Royal Distillers. “This superior tequila is the perfect fit to our premium spirits range, such as Rutte Gins and Genever, Mandarine Napoléon, Italicus Rosolio, Half Hitch and Cherry Heering. We want to provide our trade partners with a large variety of premium spirits and liqueurs to ensure that De Kuyper and Royal Dutch Distillers always have a part in the very best cocktails. Mixing Tromba Tequila with Mandarine Napoléon makes a delicious Napoléon Margarita as a variation of the classic Margarita – the number one cocktail in the US.”
“We are continuously looking to extend our range of premium brands to offer customers a complete portfolio. With the United States being the number one tequila market – as well as being the top cocktail market in the world – adding Tromba Tequila is a truly welcome addition to our portfolio,” adds Peter Iglesias, COO of Royal Dutch Distillers.
“Fully launched in the US in 2015, today Tromba has an exceedingly high level of recognition in the bartending communities of New York, Chicago, Miami and LA. We are very happy to further extend our success in the US together with the experience of the highly-respected Royal Dutch Distillers. Their ability and drive to sell craft products fits with what we do perfectly,” says Eric Brass, Co-CEO and founder of Tromba Tequila.
